AEW World Champion MJF has returned to his old stomping grounds at Create a Pro Wrestling and made an impact on the show.

MJF has proven to be one of AEW's top stars since signing with the company in 2019. A three-time Dynamite Diomand Ring winner, MJF has received praise for his commitment to his heel character. At last year's Full Gear, MJF's journey culminated with becoming AEW World Champion, thanks to the assistance of William Regal. After swiftly turning on Regal, MJF has had successful title defenses against the likes of Ricky Starks and Bryan Danielson.

During Create A Pro's Homecoming show last Saturday, "The Son of the Sun" Leo Sparrow trashed the fans in attendance and would have continued if not for the arrival of MJF. After a verbal back and forth between the two, an impromptu match broke out which saw MJF get the win.

Post-match, MJF spoke about the importance of Create A Pro, the same promotion in which his training and career began. The Salt of the Earth expressed his gratitude to Pat Buck and Brian Myers for training him at Create A Pro.

MJF hasn't forgotten his past, but the reigning AEW World Champion's future will be far from easy. At AEW Double or Nothing, MJF will defend his title against Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry, in the first fatal four-way match for the AEW World Championship. This will also be the second-ever non-singles title match (following Kenny Omega Vs. Pac Vs. Orange Cassidy at AEW Revolution 2021.)

The upcoming title match had initially been a singles match, though calling it a match would be a stretch. MJF's plan for the singles match against Guevara was to pay off the Spanish God and give himself an easy victory. Those plans changed when Perry and Allin defeated MJF and Guevara on the May 3, Dynamite and were added to the title match.
