WWE's Women's tag team division just took another serious hit.

Last week, WWE announced the Women's tag titles have been vacated due to Liv Morgan sustaining an injury. We've since learned that Morgan has an injured shoulder that may require surgery.

New champions will be crowned next Monday on the May 29 episode of WWE Raw. A four-way match has been announced to determine the new champions. The teams include:

  • Raquel Rodriguez and a mystery partner
  • Ronda Rousey and Shayne Bazsler
  • Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville
  • Bayley and Iyo Sky

The reason Iyo Sky will be teaming with Bayley instead of Dakota Kai is because Kai is also dealing with an injury that could keep her out of action for months.

According to veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Kai's injury has been confirmed as a torn ACL. The injury took place in the same match that saw Liv Morgan injure her shoulder. The word going around WWE is that Kai was injured in a spot where she knew Morgan was hurt and was trying to protect her.

Kai is scheduled to undergo knee surgery on Tuesday, May 23.
