Changes were made to this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, according to Fightful Select.

This week's show was the go-home episode of the red brand ahead of this weekend's WWE Night of Champions event. The show saw Cody Rhodes suffer a 'broken arm' at the hands of Brock Lesnar, but he has vowed to go ahead with his match with the Beast Incarnate in Jeddah. The closing segment between Rhodes and Triple H was actually based on a real-life argument between WWE's Chief Content Officer and a current AEW star.

In their report, Fightful Select reports that there were new rundowns for the Raw before the show went on the air. One change made was that initially, Paul Heyman was supposed to have a segment where he sat in the front row. Instead, the Special Counsel to Roman Reigns stood in the ring and hyped up Reigns' upcoming match at Night of Champions.

Many of the creative notes were relayed to team members late on Sunday night, after 9 PM. Fightful notes that this is a little later than usual, but not entirely out of the ordinary.

Last-minute changes were a staple of Vince McMahon's tenure as the Head of WWE's Creative, a tenure that ended last July. Given these changes, one talent speculated that McMahon was behind the changes made to Raw, but Fightful has not confirmed if that is the case. McMahon has kept his distance from WWE's programming since the post-WrestleMania 39 episode of Raw, which was panned by fans and saw several changes made by the Executive Chairman.
