One week ago, it was officially announced that AEW would be getting a third television show. Collision will air on Saturdays from 8-10 PM ET.

During last week's Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that Collision would be going on the road to Canada at the end of June and throughout July. When the graphic was shown, a location wasn't listed for the first episode.

When CM Punk wasn't shown in press material for Collision, some began questioning if something had happened. Punk had long been rumored as the star of the new show. Rumors have swirled about last minute issues with Punk and AEW over Ace Steele. Punk was under the impression that Steele would be on the road with him. Steele has reportedly been working for the company from home.

It had been rumored for a while that Collision would be live from the United Center in Chicago. That would be where "The Second City Saint" would return to the company for the first time since All Out. That decision seemed to be up in the air following the situation with Punk, especially when Khan's announcement was Collision in Canada and nothing about the United Center.

During this week's Dynamite, Khan announced "that the first episode of Collision will take place Saturday, June 17 at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT on TNT at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. I'm looking forward to a great show and I'm sure you are too."

This announcement comes on the heels of Fightful Select reporting that there had been "productive" talks between the two sides. They further reported that "people close to Punk believe he will be at the first Collision."
