Cody Rhodes' momentum since returning to WWE continues to be 'undeniable' with the American Nightmare dominating the merchandise sales.

Rhodes' return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022 proved to be a thundering success for the former AEW EVP. In stark contrast to the mixed-at-best response Rhodes received during his AEW run, the American Nightmare has been well-received by the WWE Universe. Unsurprisingly, Rhodes' return also saw WWE bring out several pieces of merchandise themed around his infamous neck tattoo logo.

Fightful Select reports that Cody's merchandise is a hot commodity, and has been for some time. Rhodes' merchandise can sometimes be found outselling WWE's general brand merchandise at events. A notable exception to this was one week in March, when John Cena topped the list following his return to Raw during an episode in Boston. Merchandise for the American Nightmare was reportedly the highest-selling items for an individual Superstar during WrestleMania 39 week. Rhodes is currently feuding with Brock Lesnar after beating the Beast at WWE Backlash but losing to Lesnar at WWE Night of Champions.

Rhodes isn't the only Superstar proving to be a hit with fans when it comes to merchandise. Last month it was reported that the revamped LWO is proving to be a success with Brandon Thurston reporting that they have spent weeks as the top merchandise sellers. The faction, consisting of Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Zelina Vega, and Rey Mysterio includes honorary members such as Bad Bunny, Carlito, and Savio Vega.
