Adam Cole may be mere days away from becoming AEW World Champion, and he recently picked up a humanitarian award.

During this year's KultureCity KultureBall event, Cole received the Human Highlight Award in recognition of his perseverance through health issues and his return to action. A concussion suffered at last year's AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door event resulted in Cole missing close to a year of action before his return in March 2023.

During his speech, the former WWE NXT Champion spoke candidly about his struggles with multiple health issues, including last year's concussion. Cole also thanked his family and girlfriend Britt Baker, who attended the event with him, for his support. Cole has previously stated that Baker was pivotal in his recovery.

AEW's relationship with Kulture City goes back to the company's early days, as the partnership was brought together by then-AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes.

Adam Cole will compete in arguably the biggest match of his career when he challenges AEW World Champion MJF at All In. The much-anticipated show has broken several records and will boast the highest-paid attendance for any wrestling event in history. Cole and MJF will team up on the zero-hour pre-show to challenge Aussie Open for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships. While MJF and Cole have proven to be quite the team, Britt Baker isn't trusting her boyfriend's new BFF.
