This week, AEW returns to New York for its annual Grand Slam shows at the historic Arthur Ashe Stadium. On Dynamite, MJF will defend his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe.

Ahead of the shows, MJF returned to his home state to take batting practice with the New York Mets. He has been a lifelong fan and shared a childhood photo at a game with the caption "Today Iíll be hyping up Grandslam by doing some batting practice with the Mets in beautiful Citi Field as The Champion Of The World. This little prick saw it coming whilst no one else did. We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams. And Iím your Scumbag."

"The Salt of the Earth" also posted a photo on himself on the field with his "Triple B" over his shoulder (his ROH World Tag Team Title was not pictured).

Sunday was also the retirement ceremony for journeyman starting pitcher, Bartolo Colon. The champion posed with a photo of "Big Sexy".

While at Citi Field, MJF spoke on a few topics. He gave his opinions on former Mets foes, Chase Utley and Chipper Jones, as well as the mascot, Phillie Phanatic.

On the Mets official Instagram, "your scumbag" promoted his match for Grand Slam on their stories. He must've been a good luck charm as the Mets picked up a win.
