CM Punk is not looking to head back into a courtroom anytime soon.
The former AEW World Champion who was recently fired from AEW reportedly will not seek legal action against his former company. Nick Hausman from Haus of Wrestling is reporting that Punk does not have litigation pending against Tony Khan and that Punk is looking to avoid litigation and move on with his life.
Punk was fired from AEW right before the All Out PPV event in Chicago at the United Center after a physical backstage encounter with Jack Perry at the All In PPV the week before in the UK. Tony Khan said that during the encounter, which he witnessed, he felt afraid for his life and cited that as a reason why the company had to terminate their business relationship with Punk.
Punk joined AEW to a massive amount of fanfare in the summer of 2021. Drama and turmoil surrounded Punk for much of his time with the company including the infamous Brawl Out incident between himself and The Elite at the 2022 All Out PPV.
CM Punk hints at potential return during first public appearance since being fired from AEW
CM Punk made his first public appearance doing commentary for CFFC 125 from Cage Fury Fighting Championships. On the show, Punk revealed that he had time on his hands for the next two months. It's an intriguing comment given that Punk's hometown of Chicago plays home to WWE and Survivor Series in just about two months time, fueling rumors that Punk may want back into the WWE fold.
