Brock Lesnar's days in the Octagon may be behind him, but the WWE Superstar made some serious dough in his final two fights.
After leaving WWE in 2004, Lesnar tried to make his name in football but saw little success. After a return to wrestling as part of New Japan Pro Wrestling, Lesnar would join UFC in 2007. Lesnar's time with the fighting promotion would see him become one of the most recognized names in the industry as well as a dominant champion.
In 2011, Lesnar would face Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. Lesnar would be defeated by Overeem in the first round via TKO. After the match, Lesnar would announce his retirement from UFC, and would return to WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania 28 in April 2012.
While Lesnar may have lost the fight, he certainly walked away an incredibly wealthy man. A report from Bloody Elbow reveals that Lesnar was paid $3 million for the fight. Given that the fight lasted 146 seconds, that equates to $20,547 per second of action. Putting that in terms of an hourly wage, the figure equates to $73.9 million per hour.
After re-establishing himself in WWE, Lesnar would make a one-night return to UFC for the promotion's milestone 200th event. At the event, Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt in dominant fashion, but the result was overturned when Lesnar tested positive for a banned substance during a post-fight screening.
While the fight's result was overturned, Lesnar made even more money than his December 2011 bout with Overeem. To return to the Octagon, Lesnar was paid $8 million, equivalent to $26,666 per second of the five-minute fight, or $96 million if this was an hourly wage.
