Cody Rhodes has officially declared for the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble Match.

During an in-ring promo on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhodes discussed his team's victory over The Judgement Day at Survivor Series inside War Games, but then refocused himself on finishing his story. Rhodes praised his teammates for the win, welcomed CM Punk back to the WWE, but then immediately turned his attention to his announcement. Rhodes said that the fans know him and that he was the first person to declare for the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble Match.

After the announcement, the lights went dark and Shinsuke Nakamura appeared in a pre-taped vignette on the big screen. After it played, Nakamura appeared behind Rhodes and nailed him with the Red Mist. Nakamura had been alluding to a target opponent in vignettes for weeks and it appears that opponent was Rhodes.

Rhodes isn't a stranger to Royal Rumble matches. After a six month hiatus away from WWE due to injury, Rhodes returned at the Royal Rumble this year in the number 30 position and won the match. He went on to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39, but was not victorious.

This year's Royal Rumble PLE emanates from Tropicana Field in Florida on January 27, 2024. No other participants for the Royal Rumble have been announced at this time.
