Just a rumor for now but Rhea Ripley expected to defend the WWE Women's Title against Liv Morgan at WWE Backlash in France.

The only person I can see beating Ripley right now for the WWE Women's championship is Jade Cargill. This may not happen until either Summerslam or next years Wrestlemania.

On this weeks Smackdown, Aj Stylles defeated LA Knight to take on Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Side note: Backstage at WWE they call the Undisputed WWE Championship just the WWE Championship, so I am guessing at some time it will also be changed on TV. I call it the WWE Championship whenever I post about it. Except above lol.

Also of course we have Damian Priest (c) vs Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship

I don't see Rhodes losing the title but who knows between Priest and Jey lol. I would say Priest wins but I do not think it will be a clean win.

I find it funny we are 1 and a half weeks out from Backlash and we have two matches confirmed lol

I guess it may have been 3 id Ripley had not been hurt.

It is possible they have either already sold out the show or because it is in a different country they know they will sell out anyway without build up to matches. I can think of a couple of buildups but there not your usual real strong buildups.

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 will be a historic night for the gold brand as the show will see the crowning of the first NXT Women's North American Champion.

During the April 30, episode of WWE NXT, General Manager Ava announced that the title will be on the line at NXT Battleground on June 9 in a six-woman ladder match. Before that match though, there will be qualifying matches to determine the entrants in the much-anticipated ladder match.

This announcement brought out Jaida Parker, who declared that she wanted to be part of the qualifying matches. She was joined in the ring by Sol Ruca and Arianna Grace who had similar intentions. Up next it was 'Michin' Mia Yim, who despite being on the SMackDown roster, wants to be part of the Women's North American Championship hunt.

The four women brawled before the rest of the NXT Women's roster came out which led to a bigger brawl in the ring. The qualifying matches are set to begin soon but the entrants have yet to be revealed.

NXT Battleground won't just be historic for its introduction of the Women's North American Championship. The event will take place at the UFC Apex and in partnership with WWE's sister company under TKO Group Holdings. It will be WWE's first event hosted at the Apex and shows WWE's commitment to cross-promotional endeavors as part of TKO.
