Of all the celebrities flocking to Paris to cheer on Olympic heroes, one in particular has been entertaining fans almost as much as the athletes.

Hip hop legend Snoop Dogg has been a regular fixture in the crowds of various sports, while he’s in France working as a special correspondent for US channel NBC’s coverage.

Snoop’s appearance at the dressage team Grand Prix Special overnight, alongside US TV icon Martha Stewart, has cemented him as best-off-ground in the eyes of fans.

The 52-year-old and Stewart stole the show after they both turned up looking like they were about to compete themselves.

Sporting breeches, gloves, a tailcoat and helmet, “Snoop Horse” as he has been dubbed online took in the scene at the Palace of Versailles venue.

“I am interested in the horses that dance and I want to give them some carrots and apples … make sure they’re fed before they do their thang,” he told NBC.

Speaking on Friday, local time, Stewart told the channel about their plans for the dressage.

“Snoop called me and said he knows I know horses, and he’s a little fearful of horses,” she said.

Snoop said: “I’m still scared of horses.”

“Have you ever ridden a horse?” Stewart asked.

“No,” Snoop said. “I’m scared.”

The US Equestrian team shared a clip of Snoop meeting and feeding one of the horses after the event, held in front of 15,000 fans.

“I like his braids. I can’t get over them. I’m going to use that hairstyle,” Snoop could be heard to say.

“Their hair game is exceptional.”

It was a full-circle moment for the rap icon whose improvised commentary about equestrian events at the last Olympics went around the world.

Snoop also worked for the broadcaster during the Tokyo Games, when his comments about “crip walking” horses on a program with Kevin Hart went viral.

“That’s gangster,” he said at the time. “This horse is off the chain. I gotta get this motherf***er in a video.”

The rapper has been spotted at several events since the start of the Paris Games, including judo at the Arena Champ-de-Mars, beach volleyball next to the Eiffel Tower, and 3x3 basketball at the Place de la Concorde.

He also carried the Olympic flame on July 26 for the opening ceremony.

His infectious enthusiasm for the events has made him a popular figure among sport fans living vicariously through the music legend.

“No one and I mean no one is having a better time at the Olympics than Snoop Dogg,” one X user wrote.
