Lee tells Wentz to say what he needs to, and Wentz becomes angered. Wentz says every team may break up at some point but The Rascalz were supposed to be the exception. Lee says Wentz yelling and screaming just shows how naive he is, and claims to be a bigger star than him. He questions why Wentz came back to "NXT", and says that they're on different levels. Wentz says no one was more proud of what Lee accomplished than him, but he messed up. He says MSK was one of the greatest tag teams in "NXT" history, but he owns up to his mistakes. He says Lee got to become a main event start while he grew up to become a man. He says for two years, he had that picture of Lee soaring and wondering what would happen next. He says it motivated him to dig himself out of the hole.

Lee says he's glad that he was motivated, but even if they had won the NXT Tag Team Championship and had a reign with them, he'd eventually realized that he's not on the same level as Wentz. Wentz calls Lee one of the most sensitive on the planet, then says Lee was ready to quit "NXT" for the third time. He says while Lee's wife was at work, he and Trey Miguel were there for him when he was injured. He says he couldn't be with Lee in front of the cameras, but he was his brother behind them. Lee promises to show Wentz that they're on different levels on Sunday at No Mercy, and Wentz tells Lee that he's always underestimated him. – Back at ringside, Joe Hendry makes his way down to the ring.

Hendry thanks the "NXT" Universe for spending the evening for him, then says he has a career defining opportunity on Sunday when he challenges Ethan Page for the NXT Championship. He says he has a special song for fans about Page, then begins singing about Page's action figures, dethroning him as the NXT Champion, Page working out in a chicken costume.

Page's entrance music cuts Hendry off as he makes his way out, and Page says Hendry is done with song time. He asks Hendry if he thinks he can embarrass him with a few photos taken out of context. He asks Hendry who he thinks he is given that he holds the NXT Championship, then asks if Hendry is trying to entertain fans with embarrassing photos of him. He says he knows what's best for fans, then says what's best for them is keeping Hendry out of "NXT" and away from the NXT Championship.

Ava's music hits and she makes her way out. She tells Page that he should be flatter that Hendry took the time to write a song about him, then informs Page that his NXT Championship Match against Hendry at No Mercy will have a special guest referee due to his blatant disrespect. Trick Williams' music then hits, revealing himself as the special guest referee much to the enragement of Page. Page looks to clock Hendry, but Hendry delivers the Standing Ovation to him. Hendry then pins Page and Williams counts to three. He hands Hendry the NXT Championship and celebrates with him as we see Pete Dunne watching what just happened from the entrance tunnel. He warns Williams that he won't make it to next Tuesday. He walks away as Williams and Hendry continue celebrating in the ring and the show goes off the air.
