There could be a coiuple of reasons Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) was booed while he made his appearance and said anything with Jimmy Hart. It is most likely he only made the appearance to plug his 'Real American Beer brand' which is now an official WWE sponsor, with its logo displayed on the ring mat. Also as the camera panned across the audience, thumbs could be seen pointed down as the booing intensified and even "F**k Hulk Hogan" chants were going on. Later when he appeared in WWE's hype video for Saturday's Night Main Event, that commercial was also booed.
One of the reasons he could have been booed is because of Hogan’s political support for president-elect Donald Trump, as he endorsed Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and he also appeared at Trump‘s Madison Square Garden rally in October, 2024. Los Angeles, with its predominantly liberal audience, may have reacted negatively to his presence.
Another reason is Hogan has had a checkered past, in 2015, WWE removed him from its Hall of Fame and tried to remove his name off everything they had after racist remarks surfaced when a tape from 2007 emerged of him using a racial slur. Though reinstated in 2018, some fans remain critical of his presence, which may have fueled the crowd’s reaction.
Could be a bit of both.
Although, it should be noted The Undertaker or Teiple H, who has also publicly discussed his right-wing leanings, was not booed at all during his appearance on the show. Although, it should be said that Hogan has made a more public appearance for Trump than The Undertaker.
Not a huge cheer but he still had some fans.
