This Mortal Kombat trailer shows off the new "X-ray mode," attacks that give an inside look at the damage caused. We wish this tech had been around for Mortal Kombat 2, so we could understand the anatomical makeup of all those people who seemed to be made entirely of arm bones and intestines.

I watched some videos over at ign about the x ray mode. I'm just hoping it's not way overused like similar "bullet time" using games and movies, after a while it makes you want to stop watching or playing. During fatalities would be great but not after every combo and such.

^^You can do it after a "Devastating" Moves meter fills up so it won't be all the time as you can use the same meter for special attacks. So don't worry about it.
