This week's episode of WWE NXT proved to be a hit with fans as the gold brand dealt with the fallout of NXT No Mercy.

The October 3, 2023, episode of WWE NXT saw Ilja Dragunov return to the show as the triumphant NXT Champion, while several Superstars laid claim to a shot at the NXT Women's Championship. In a triple threat, Lyra Valkyria would stand tall to earn a title shot against Becky Lynch. In the main event, Dominik Mysterio reclaimed the NXT North American Championship by defeating Trick Williams.

As Wrestlenomics reports, this week's NXT scored 857,000 viewers, the highest ratings for the show in years. The show also scored an impressive 0.22 in the coveted 18-49 demographic. These impressive numbers place this week's NXT in the top most-watched episodes of the gold brand since the show launched as a brand in 2012.

This impressive number comes mere weeks after WWE NXT scored 850,000 viewers, another impressive number. The September 19, episode of WWE NXT also score a respectable 824,000 number as the show continues to attract fans.

NXT scored some impressive numbers this week and next week could prove to be even more impressive based on the card. Next week's show will see Asuka return to the brand she once dominated to face off against Roxanne Perez. John Cena will be in Carmelo Hayes' corner when he faces Bron Breakker, who will be accompanied by Paul Heyman. Cody Rhodes will make a huge announcement on next week's NXT.

While WWE hasn't said it, this stacked NXT is happening because they are going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite's 'Title Tuesday.' That show will see the in-ring debut of Adam Copeland as well as an impressive card of its own.
