Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY clash in WWE Tag Team Title TLC Match

One of the WWE’s most exciting bouts will return as WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY will collide in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match. All three teams have recently held the WWE Tag Team Championship, and animosity has increased in recent weeks. Last week, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins put their title on the line against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley until Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa arrived to cause chaos and stole the titles, resulting in the match ending in a no-contest. The theft prompted SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to announce the return of this fan favorite matchup. Which team can scale the ladder and grab the titles?

– The Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns, DIY, Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa, and Tiffany Stratton are all shown arriving at the arena to kick off SmackDown. Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore greet audiences at home before throwing it to a video recapping some of the events from WrestleMania 41 weekend.

– John Cena then makes his way out to the ring.

Cena calls ring announcer Mark Nash into the ring to correct the way that he announced him as he came down to the ring. Before Cena himself can actually say anything though, Randy Orton's music hits and he makes his way out.

Orton says he's known Cena for 25 years, and up until a couple of months ago, Cena lived by his mantra of Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. He says Cena made generations of children that looked up to him better, then says the world would be a better place if Cena returns to who he truly is because it will make him a better human being.

Cena tells Orton how dare he pull him to the ring to shame him about being a parent, then says Orton has children that he loves. He says the real reason he doesn't have kids is because he's spent the last 25 years raising the children of the fans. He credits himself for doing an impeccable job, then says he's been a better parent than anyone in the crowd.

Orton asks Cena if that Hollywood rot has set inside his brain, then says the fans are the reason that Cena is standing in the ring and made it to Hollywood in the first place. He says he's made a lot of mistakes in his life and career, but he can go into the locker room and get respect from his peers. He says he's a piece of furniture that's here to stay, while the same cannot be said for Cena.

Cena says the fans can put their energy into the superstars they want, but if the roles are reversed, then it becomes a dysfunctional relationship. Cena continues to rag on the fans, but Orton says that he was stupid to come out ot the ring expecting Cena to actually listen to him, then says wrestling has provided for him and his family which is something that Cena can't ruin for him.

Cena tells Orton to quiet down, then calls Orton a babbling moron and says when he leaves, he will make sure three generations of Orton's family is erased. Orton challenges Cena to put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line right now, but Cena declines to do so and says he's willing to do so at WWE Backlash to ensure that Orton's family will be there and he will be at his best. Cena then tells Orton to take a good look at him because he is the last real champion.

Cena clocks Orton with a microphone and fires off stomps on him, then grabs his Undisputed WWE Championship and looks to hit Orton with it. Orton sees Cena coming and catches him with an RKO, then grabs the Undisputed WWE Championship and holds it up.

– Legado Del Fantasma then make their way down to the ring. Nathan Frazer and Axiom follow.

Fraxiom vs. Los Garza (w/ Santos Escobar)

Axiom and Berto begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Axiom lands a dropkick on Berto, then tags in Frazer. Frazer lands a tope suicida on Berto and Angel on the outside, and Frazer flies over the top rope to level the pair once again on the outside. Axiom then delivers a moonsault off the top rope on Berto and Angel.

Frazer dumps Berto back inside the ring and goes for a pin, but Berto kicks out. Axiom tags in and Angel lands a kick on his spine, then tags in Berto. Los Garza fire off stomps on Axiom, then tags in Angel. Angel continues to beat down Axiom, then tags Berto back in. Berto wears down Axiom with a submission hold, Frazer tags in and levels Berto with a Sling Blade, but Angel tags back in. Los Garza land a double slam on Frazer off the ropes, and Berto follows it up with a moonsault off the top. He goes for a pin, but Frazer sends Angelo crashing into them to break the fall.

Angelo and Axiom tag in and fire off right hands on one another. Axiom delivers a Spanish Fly to Angel over the top, and Frazer follows it up with a Phoenix Splash for the win.

Winners: Fraxiom

– DIY is seen backstage getting ready for their match and we are told Tiffany Stratton will be up next.

– We come back from a commercial and it's Tiffy Time! Tiffany Stratton gets on the mic and asks what time it is. She then talks about her WrestleMania match. She says there were moments she doubted herself but she prevailed and is still the champion. She says she's been told a lot that she's the next Charlotte Flair but everyone's wrong because there is only one Tiffany Stratton. Jade Cargill's music hits and she comes out. Cargill says she'll give credit where it's due and her match with Charlotte was impressive but all it's done is made Stratton's target bigger. Cargill says she came to the WWE for everyone to see that she's here to be a champion. Cargill says Stratton can't say she's the best unless she's faced Cargill. Stratton suggests they battle right now and we cut to commercial.

Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton

The bell rings and the two lock up. Stratton offers her hand to Cargill, and Cargill shakes it. Stratton pulls Cargill in to attack her, but Cargill gets Stratton up on her shoulders. Stratton escapes, but Cargill lands a backbreaker on her. Stratton sends Cargill crashing into the ropes and connects with a Hip Attack, then follows it up with a pair of spinebusters.

Stratton hits two handspring back elbows on Cargill in adjacent corners, then goes for a pin but Cargill kicks out. Stratton then connects with a belly-to-belly suplex on Cargill, but Cargill whips Stratton into the corner and does several push-ups in the ring. Cargill jams her boot into the back of Stratton's neck, then follows it up with a pump kick. Stratton sets up for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Cargill, but Cargill avoids it and lands a sit-out powerbomb on Stratton and goes for a pin. Stratton kicks out.

Stratton connects with a missile dropkick on Cargill, but Cargill responds with a superplex on Stratton. Naomi runs down to the ring and fires off strikes on Cargill, causing the disqualification.

Winner: N/A (outside due to interference)

– Naomi sends Cargill crashing into the ring post shoulder first twice, then sends her crashing into the opposite ring post. Stratton crawls back into the ring and stares down Naomi, but Naomi slides out of the ring. Nia Jax then blindsides Stratton from behind and connects with a leg drop before landing the An-Nia-Lato and holding up the WWE Women's Championship.

– DIY is shown warming up backstage.

– Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa then make their way down to the ring.

Sikoa demands that their fans give their respect to Fatu, then says Fatu is the future. He takes credit for Jaob Fatu holding the United States Championship, and says Fatu is there because of him.

Fatu grabs the microphone from Sikoa, then says he told Sikoa that he would win the United States Championship with or without Sikoa. He says he knows that holding the United States Championship puts a target on his back, but Sikoa better learn what his place is.

LA Knight's music hits, and he makes his way out. He tells Fatu he wants his United States Championship rematch. Drew McIntyre follows Knight to the ring and says it's not always easy being him, then brags about defeating Damian Priest in their Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41 and says it was a pleasure to embarrass him in front of his entire family. He says he wants to fight the baddest dog in the yard and makes it clear that he wants to challenge Fatu as well.

Knight takes objection to McIntyre's desire for a United States Championship and McIntyre looks to square up to Knight, but Nick Aldis makes his way out at ringside and makes a United States Championship Number One Contenders match between McIntyre and Knight official for later tonight.

– Byron Saxton talks to Zelina Vega before her match. Vega says she wants to bring Latino Heat to her match tonight and she won't stop until she has the title around her waist.

– Zelina Vega then makes her way out to the ring. Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, and Piper Niven follow.

Women's United States Championship Match: Chelsea Green (c) w/The Secret Hervice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) vs. Zelina Vega

The bell rings and Vega fires off right hands on Green in the corner. Fyre sends Vega crashing into the bottom of the ring on the outside and Niven lands an elbow drop on Vega on the outside as Green distracts the referee.

Green jams her knee into the back of Vega's neck, then continues wearing her down. Vega hits a German suplex on Green off the middle rope, then follows it up with a meteora. Fyre hops up on the apron, opening the door for Green to land an enzuigiri on Vega and set up for the Unprettier. Vega counters into a backstabber and dials it up for a 619 on Green, but the referee catches both Fyre and Niven cheating and ejects them from ringside. Vega then surprises Green with a Code Red for the win.

Winner and NEW WWE Women's United States Champion: Zelina Vega

– Carmelo Hayes and The Miz are backstage with the Andre the Giant Trophy. The Miz says it's why he sacrificed himself for Hayes to win because Hayes will go down as the best. He presents Hayes with a present. A gold necklace with Andre the Giant's face on it. Hayes says when he wears this he's the 10th Wonder of the World. The Miz tells Hayes to enjoy his moment and he goes out to the ring to make his.

Back from the break, The Miz is waiting inside the ring. He says he's been an integral part of WrestleMania since 2007, but he was left off the card on WrestleMania 41 and begins to complain extensively about it.

The lights then go out, and Aleister Black's old theme song begins to play. He rises from the entrance ramp and makes his way down to the ring, then levels Miz with the Black Mass.

– Byron Saxton catches up with Bianca Belair. Belair talks about the injuries she got from her WrestleMania match. She says regardless she's proud of the three of them for the match. She says she's focusing on healing when she's back from her injury she has business to handle.

– We then head backstage, where Nia Jax tells Naomi to stay out of her way when it comes to Tiffany Stratton and the WWE Women's Championship. Naomi tells Jax to proceed with caution.

– Back at ringside, LA Knight makes his way out. Drew McIntyre follows.

United States Championship No 1 Contender's Match: LA Knight vs. Drew McIntyre

The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange chops with one another, but McIntyre sends Knight's face bouncing off the top rope and sends him crashing into the barricade on the outside face first. McIntyre fires off stomps on Knight when he gets back in the ring, then fires off right hands on Knight's spine. Knight responds with a suplex to McIntyre, then sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle face first and follows it up with a neckbreaker.

Knight ascends up the ropes and hits an elbow drop on McIntyre, then goes for a pin but McIntyre kicks out. Knight then lands a dropkick on McIntyre through the middle rope and sends his face repeatedly crashing off the announce desk before dumping him inside the ring. Solo Sikoa lands a Samoan Spike on Knight as McIntyre distracts the referee, then dumps him back inside the ring. McIntyre sets up for a Claymore Kick, but Damian Priest pulls him out of the ring to cause the disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Drew McIntyre

– After the match Priest beats up McIntyre and hits the South of Heaven on McIntyre through the announce desk. As Priest is leaving, Knight gets into Priest's face. As they argue, Jacob Fatu comes out of nowhere and flies out of the ring onto Priest and Knight. Fatu then starts beating up both Priest and Knight. Priest and Knight are both slammed into in the corner. Fatu hits his moonsault on Knight and hits a hip attack on Priest and then moonsaults onto him.

– John Cena walks backstage and R-Truth comes up and tells Cena he's always been his hero and if he needs him Truth is always there for him. Jimmy Uso comes by and tells Truth that Cena is whack. Truth says when he grows up he wants to be the real last champion.

– Motor City Machine Guns, #DIY, and The Street Profits then all make their way out to the ring.

WWE Tag Team Championship TLC Match: The Street Profits (c) vs. DIY vs. Motor City Machine Guns

The bell rings and #DIY goes after The Motor City Machine Guns. The Street Profits blindside #DIY, but #DIY grabs a ladder. The Motor City Machine Guns land a double dropkick on #DIY using the ladder, then fire off right hands on Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Montez Ford, and Angelo Dawkins in all four corners.

Alex Shelley holds open the ropes for Sabin to fly through, but Gargano hits him with a chair. He then hits Shelley with it as well as Ciampa hits Ford with a chair on the other side of the ring. Dawkins sends Ciampa crashing over the announce desk and sends Gargano crashing into the ring post, then grabs a ladder and slides it into the ring. He sets it up, but Sabin locks in a Sleeper on Dawkins. Dawkins still ascends up the ladder, and Shelley lands a Dragon Screw on Dawkins using one of the rungs.

Shelley ascends up the ladder, but Gargano pulls him off. Shelley and Sabin fire off right hands on Gargano and send him crashing into the side of the ladder, then send the ladder crashing on top of Ford. Dawkins fights off The Motor City Machine Guns, then lands splashes on Sabin and Shelley in opposite corners. The Motor City Machine Guns trip Dawkins as he looks to ascend up the ropes, and Sabin places a chair on top of Dawkins in the corner as he's draped by his knees off the top rope. Shelley lands a sliding kick on Dawkins, but Ford flies over the top rope to level everyone else on the outside.

Ford grabs a ladder and slides it into the ring, then sets it up in the ring and climbs up it. Ciampa joins Ford on the ladder and the pair fire off right hands on one another, but Gargano sets up a second ladder and climbs it. He hits a jumping flatliner on Ford off the ladder, and Dawkins pulls Ciampa off the ladder. He climbs up it himself, then delivers a neckbreaker to Gargano off of it. Ciampa then climbs up the ladder and Sabin joins him, but Dawkins pushes both men off the ladder. Ciampa places a chair around Shelley's neck and Gargano hits him with a second chair before Ciampa lands a Brainbuster on Sabin on top of one of the chairs. #DIY then beat down Dawkins with the chairs and Gargano sets them up back-to-back. Dawkins then delivers a twisting neckbreaker to Gargano after Ford comes to his aid.

The Street Profits hype each other up and grab a table, then slide it into the ring. Dawkins gets Ciampa in an Electric Chair position, and Ford flies over the top rope to land a Blockbuster on Ciampa to use him to take out everyone else on the outside. Sabin sets Dawkins on top of a table on the outside, and Ciampa sends Ford crashing into the side of a ladder that has a table stacked on top of it. Ciampa sets up the table on top of the ladder on the outside as Sabin delivers a Frog Splash off the top rope to Dawkins through another table. Ford then flies over the top rope to send Ciampa crashing through a separate table on the adjacent side of the ring.

Ford rocks Ciampa with a superkick on the apron, but Ciampa responds with a roundhouse kick on Ford. Ciampa then sends himself and Ford crashing through a ladder with an Air Raid Crash off the apron. Sabin catches Gargano with a boot on the ring apron, then drags him on top of a table and holds him in place for Shelley to fly over the top rope. The Motor City Machine Guns then send themselves and Gargano crashing through the table.

Ciampa ascends up the ladder set up inside the ring, then looks to unhook the WWE Tag Team Championship belts. Shelley and Sabin pull the ladder from under him and hit him with chairs access his legs, then set up a table underneath him. Dawkins ascends up the ladder Shelley and Sabin had moved away from Ciampa, and Dawkins spears Ciampa through the table. Shelley then ascends up the ladder, but Gargano throws a chair at him to keep him from climbing it. Gargano ascends up the ladder as Sabin does the same on the other side. Gargano and Sabin fire off right hands on one another, but Sabin fights Gargano off and sends him crashing onto the floor. Ford then sends Sabin crashing off the ladder, but Gargano drapes him through one of the rungs and superkicks him. He then climbs up the ladder, but Sabin meets him on the other side. Ford climbs up the side of the ladder to join both men, then sends him crashing onto the floor. He then unhooks the WWE Tag Team Championship belts to win the match for himself and Dawkins.

– After the match, the champs celebrate in the crowd as the show goes off the air.
