IWA Results, Bayamon - 9/1 (NWA Title Match)

IWA held their September 1 event at the Pepin Cestero Arena at Bayamon , with the following action being reported by Luis Santiago, of iwapr.tv.

1-Angel defeated Bolo The Red Bulldog at 10:39 after a top rope double leg drop.



2-Noel Rodriguez & Dennis Rivera defeated Onix & Erick Scorpion in 10:52 when they applied their final move to Onix.



3-Ricky Vega defeated Diabólico by submission at 10:05 when Vega applied a leglock cloveleaf to win.



4-Big Vito defeated Shane in 11:18 when Shane went to do the top rope elbowdrop, applied it but Vito stopped at two as referee Prime Time stopped the count,saying he have injured his shoulder. Shane get angry and argued with him, so Big Vito extracted a knux and knocked Shane with it, so Time did the count and Vito won the match.



Blitz came out and and asked for this IWA Title shot he won weeks ago. Orlanto Toledo came out and was with Cruzz, Ravishing GQ and Tommy Diablo. Toledo told him that he, as IWA President, was determined that Blitz will not have a titleshot and Toledo ordered his guys to attack Blitz, who managed the situation, dispatching GQ and Tommy. Toledo ordered Cruzz to attack Blitz. Cruzz was also dominated by Blitz, who ended escaping from the ring but was attacked by Big Vito, who pushed him back to the ring. Blitz was attacked all, with Toledo slapping him and telling him that the only way he willearn a title shot is defeating Big Vito in less than ten minutes. Then The Street Hooded wrestlers came in to save Blitz. Then the WWC Hooded wrestlers came in and attacked the other hooded, but were dominated. Then Toledo told both groups of hooded wrestlers that he is already tired of their interferences, so he orders now a match between the hooded wrestlers for the next tour, Golpe de Estado, with loosers taking off their hoods.



5-Slash Venom defeated Cruzz in 11:31 after the blockbuster.



6-The Naturals, Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas defeated Hiram Tua & Carlitos. Before the match Orlando Toledo told Tua and Carlitos that he orders the match to be for the IWA Tag Team Titles. Finally match ended at 14:44 when at the final segment, Tua and Carlitos began to dominate and then Noel Rodriguez and Dennis Rivera attacked Carlitos and Tua, applied their move to Carlitos. Then The Naturals took advantage, pinned Carlitos and that way won the IWA Tag Team Title. Noel and Dennis continued a post match attack and Shane and Ricky Vega came to do the save. Then Vega told Toledo to put the title on the line on Septembe 15 at GOLPE DE ESTADO



NWA Executive Director Bob Tribich came in to introduce the NWA Title Belt. David Marquez spoke about that historic event and welcomed the official referee, IWA’s Pelayito Vazquez, and also introduced the ‘enforcer referee’ The American Dragon Bryan Danielson.



7-Adam Pearce defeated Brent Albright to win the NWA Title in 16:57. Match was described as a classic match ending with controversy. Referee Pelayito Vazquez was knocked by accident, so Bryan Danielson came into the ring to rule the match. Albright and Pearce did some exchange, with both landing flat to the mat but before the three count Pearce lift a shoulder, getting the victory. Albright began to celebrate, as he believed he won, but Danielson told him that winner was Pearce, and then Danielson gave the title belt to the winner.



8-Bison defeated Vampiro in 15:11 to keep the IWA Title in a match where both wrestlers used weapons all over the place. Final segment saw Vampiro taking control of the match but Orlando Toledo used powder to blind Vampiro. Then Bison used his cow bell and knocked Vampiro to win the match and retain the title. Bison continued a postmatch attack until Blitz appeared with a chair to do the save. Toledo called his bodyguards, but Blitz escaped. Big Vito came in and atacked Blitz, pushing him back to the ring. Toledo ’s guys tried to attack Blitz, but he escaped once again. Blitz said, from he stood between fans, that he will defeated Vito at Golpe de Estado
