The TNA releases of Dutch Mantel and road agent Savio Vega are said to be no coincidence as Mantel and Vega were both considered allies of Jeff Jarrett. While nothing official has been announced regarding Jarrett's role with TNA, many feel he would be stripped of all power if he were brought back. According to a well-placed source, additional cuts are in the works, so stay tuned.

Shawn Daivari (a/k/a Sheik Abdul Bashir) has posted a blog on his official website, www.ShawnDaivari.com, addressing his contract status with TNA. There were reports going around saying he had signed a three-year deal with the company, but according to him, they are inaccurate. A contract was only recently put into effect and he is only signed on with TNA for the next year. "Onto business matters, as it has been reported around the internet that I had signed with TNA they weren't 100% true," Daivari wrote. "We were in a renegotiating process when that was reported. And I can be the first to tell you as of this week a new contract has been put into effect. So I will be a part of TNA at minimum for the next year, but maybe longer."
