Does anyone else miss tag team wrestling?

Is it my imagination or is WWE phasing out tag team wrestling? Why I think this is just look at the tag team situation. You have the Stupid Squad who rarely defend the belts and Kendrick and London on SD ( the Phantom of the Opera wannabes(i mean what is with those masks?)). and the contenders are the Highlanders and the Pitbulls? Two basically new teams. Does anyone remember the glory days when we had the Hart Foundation,British Bulldogs, Road Warriors/LOD, Demolition, Killer Bees, Bushwhackers, Rougeaus, etc
and even just a few years ago we had the New Age Outlaws, APA, Edge & Christian, the Hardys, the Dudleys. etc.
I mean the WWE is boring enough as is these days , but losing a whole division is just ridiculous. I know there arent many tag teams out there but come on when was the last time you remember the champs having just one contender for the belts? Anyway tell what your view is on this.

yeah i felt that too.actually i now feel they might be trying to revive the division with dx and a likely brothers of destruction reunion on the cards

Yea Tag wrestling is long and gone in WWE and you forgot the Steiners. I miss tag wrestling in general not just wwe like watching Sting and Luger vs Steniers and Steiners vs LOD some great matches that will probably never see the likes of again .

Wow I 100% agree with what you say. and I have a theory on it.

When WWE bought out WCW and they hired Eric Bischoff, it was true that Bischoff strongly hated Tag Team matches. With so much talent on their hands they split the show into two brands and stupidly split up THE greatest tag teams!! I mean WTF, they split up the Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boys, I believe guys like Undertaker and Kane were split up. It was stupid!

I believe that with Bischoff disliking tag team wrestling, they wanted to test those wrestlers Single wrestling ability and they figured they could kill 2 birds with one stone.

WWE has tried to revive their Tag Team division a couple of times in recent memory. It seems to me when they bring in a new team (i.e. Cade and Murdoch) and within the course of a month they are either broken apart or wrestling dark matches. I miss the old days of tag team wrestling with teams like: LOD, Steiner Bros, Money Inc, 4 Horsemen, and tons of others. If you want to see some great tag team wrestling today, all you have to do is turn over to TNA.

Yah, I had an idea since the Spirit Squad was 5 members to bring back the Natural Born Thrillers of WCW ( Chuck Palumbo, Sean O'Haire, Johnny The Bull, Sean Stasiak, Mark Jindrak and Vito(which would end this stupid dress gimmick)) and make a team UK with The Highlanders, Davey Boy Smiths kid Harry, and Regal and Finley and whoever London and Kendrick could get and get rid of the SD belts . Just imagine the different combos that could go at it for the belts .

Yep, the day of a fed having at least 10 "solid" tag teams seems to be all but done, now we have rehased, been there done that teams that don't stick together long, and the infamous "slap two mid-carded together and call em a team" teams.:dunno: I know I miss the old school tag devisions.

But wouldn't that just be more like the late 90's WWE gangs of old? Los Bariquas, The Hart Family, DOA, The Minstry, Farroq and D-low's gang whatchamacallems.
