Hudson to Release Sophmore Album on March 22nd

JENNIFER Hudson will release her sophomore album, I Remember Me, on March 22.

The album’s first single Where You At – which is written and produced by R. Kelly – will hit radio on January 24.

“I’m excited about this album because it’s almost like a renewal for me, reflected through the chapters of my life,” Hudson said in a statement.

“My fans have been so loyal, I feel like they have been on this journey with me and I can’t wait for them to hear the new album.”

According to a press release, the album’s title was inspired by a poem written by Hudson and turned into a song with the help of OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and will now appear on the album.

“I’ve called it I Remember Me because of the journey I’ve been on,” Hudson said.

Other writers on the set include Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Rich Harrison, Ne-Yo and Stargate.

I Remember Me is the follow up to Hudson’s 2008 self-titled debut.

Jennifer — who dropped from a size 16 to a 4 — recently admitted she can’t stop spending money after losing a ton of weight.

“I have a serious shopping problem now,” admitted the 29-year-old, who is a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.

“Each city we go to, my suitcase won’t hold my new clothes, so we have to box them up and ship them home. Then I get back and want to try on everything I bought, so clothes are just everywhere.

“It got to a point where I could barely get in my bedroom. And when did I realize I had a problem? Well, my bed is a canopy. I had nowhere else to throw the clothes. So I threw them on top of the canopy!”
