Default Report: The Planned WrestleMania Main Event

    Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

According to a person who spoke directly to Vince McMahon this past week, Wade Barrett vs. The Undertaker is currently penciled in as the main event for WrestleMania XXVII.
Barring a setback in recovery, it's now considered a lock that The Undertaker will work WrestleMania since WWE announced him for AXXESS, which takes place the day before the pay-per-view event.

Well that's definitely a Barrett loss. And sadly it won't be an epic match like Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels.

I wouldn't mind 'Taker vs. Barrett, but as the main event? I don't think the main event of WrestleMania should be a match where you KNOW the ending. But... this may very well turn out to be bullshit anyway.

they always promote the show as having 2-3 main events that's all there is to it this won't go on last

If Kenpachi used his Bankai, Armageddon, Ragnarok, and every other form of the apocalypse would march from the depths of hell with their demonic legions of death.... then take one look at him and turn tail and run.

Did not everybody say "A young guy who would be pushed to superstardom should end the streak!"???

And now guess what Barrett is...

Taker will win and I'll be happy if so.

No problem with this if it is true and it makes sense.

It won't be the big main event but it will be considdered one of them.

Just like last year, Cena vs Batista, Edge vs Jericho, Taker vs Michaels and Bret vs Vince were all billed as main events.
