RAW LIVE Coverage & Discussion - 11th May, 2015

Announcers: Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Byron Saxton.

Michael Cole starts off by reminded everyone of the passing of Dusty Rhodes last week. We see the ten bell salute from the start of Money in the Bank and a video tribute for Dusty.

WWE World Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring and he is alone.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see Johnny Manziel in the crowd and he gets a John Cena worthy reception.

Seth thanks everyone for coming out tonight and he welcomes everyone to Raw. Seth welcomes everyone to Monday Night Rollins. Week in and week out, he is the best thing about Raw and he is your WWE World Champion. Seth says he wants to take a second to acknowledge his opponent from last night, Dean Ambrose. Dean brought the fight to him like never before. He made good on his promise and he brought his A Game.

We see photos from last night and Seth says that as good as Dean’s A Game is, it is not quite as good as his. Last night, he made good on his promise. He beat Dean Ambrose all by himself in one of the greatest ladder matches in WWE history and he got back what is rightfully his, the WWE World Championship.

Seth says that he is only one man. It takes an incredible team to make someone like him thrive. When he was clutching the title last night, he was holding back the emotion to remember who got him to the top of the mountain.

Seth says he is a first class team player. He wants to take a second to acknowledge all of the people who got him to where he is. He is just a kid from Davenport, Iowa. Seth says he wants to thank everyone who paid a part. Seth pulls out a list.

Seth says the crowd is not showing him the proper respect. Seth starts off by thanking . . . Seth Rollins. He also wants to thank Seth Rollins, Seth Rollins, Seth Rollins, and . . . Seth Rollins. He thanks Seth Rollins a few more times before throwing away his notes.

Seth says he would not thank Dumb and Dumber . . . aka J&J Security. He wouldn’t thank the Devil’s Favorite Dinosaur, Kane. He didn’t even need Triple H and Stephanie. That is how good he is. With his performance last night, he might as well have punched his ticket to the Hall of Fame. Parents will be naming their children after him.

Seth tells Cleveland to take a good look because this is what a Championship looks like. Seth says that ‘Johnny Idiotface’ won’t bring you a title. Lebron James won’t be bringing a title back to Cleveland. This is the only championship you should be celebrating. Seth says that he is leaving this piece of crap town and he is taking his title with him.

Dean Ambrose’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage.

Dean comes towards the ring and they fight on the ramp. Ambrose clotheslines Seth over the top rope to the floor. Rollins kicks Dean in the knee and then Rollins punches Dean and he tries to send Ambrose’s leg into the table, but Dean kicks him away and Dean with an elbow off the table. Seth gets out of the ring and he runs to the back.

Dean takes a chair and mic and he throws the chair into the ring. Dean says the title may have slipped literally through his fingers when he crashed to the mat. Dean says hearing Seth talk made Dean remember how much he has enjoying making Seth’s life a living hell.

Dean says he is going to take a seat and he ain’t leaving until Seth gets his ass back out here.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Dean is sitting in the center of the ring.

Bacxkstage
Seth Rollins enters Hunter and Stephanie’s office and he wants to know what is being done. Hunter says it is being taken care of.

Stephanie points out that Seth said he didn’t need their help.

Seth denies saying that and Hunter wonders if Seth is calling Stephanie a liar.

Seth says he was sticking it to everyone who said he could not do it on his own. Seth says they need to do what is best for business and he wonders what is next for us.

Hunter says that they were talking about Seth’s next challenger for the WWE Championship. It could be anyone else, even Dean Ambrose. Seth will find out tonight.

Hunter says that they trusted Seth to beat Dean by himself so Seth should trust them to make the decision by themselves.

Dean is still in the ring.

Sheamus’ music plays and he comes out with his briefcase and a mic.

Sheamus tells Dean-o they have a lot in common. They both like to fight and they both made bold predictions about Money in the Bank. The difference is that Sheamus is a winner while Dean is a loser. Dean lost while Sheamus reminds everyone he became Mr. Money in the Bank. This means he is one Brogue Kick away from being your next WWE Champion, any time, any place, any where. It may happen tonight.

The Authority thought it would be a good celebration for him to come to the ring and kick Dean’s head off his shoulders.


Sheamus vs Dean Ambrose

They lock up and Sheamus backs Dean into the corner. Sheamus with a single leg trip and he kicks Dean in the hamstring. Sheamus puts Dean’s leg in the ropes and he kicks Dean in the knee. Sheamus with more kicks to Dean’s leg. Dean with forearms and a running forearm. Dean with a shoulder in the corner and a forearm across the bridge of the nose. Sheamus takes Dean down with a shot to the leg.

Sheamus slams the leg into the apron and then he kicks Dean in the injured leg. Sheamus sends Dean into the ring steps. Sheamus rolls Dean back into the ring and he kicks Dean in the knee. Sheamus misses a short arm clothesline and Dean with a flying cross body and punches. Dean with a running forearm but Sheamus escapes the bulldog and Sheamus with a kick that sends Dean to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sheamus with a Stretch Muffler on Ambrose’s injured leg. We see footage from the commercial break when Dean forgot he had a bad leg when he hit a suicide dive onto Sheamus. Ambrose escapes the submission hold and Dean has a kick blocked. Dean with punches and chops against the ropes. Sheamus clips Dean and he goes for a Cloverleaf but Dean kicks Sheamus away. Sheamus misses a charge at Dean and he goes to the floor.

Dean with a neck breaker. Dean moves when Sheamus charges into the corner and Dean with a bulldog. Dean goes up top but Sheamus hits Dean in the back of the leg and Sheamus with a Finlay Slam and then he goes for the Cloverleaf and he locks it in. Dean gets to the ropes and Sheamus releases the hold.

Sheamus sets for the forearms across the chest and he connects with one. Sheamus with more but Dean with elbows after Sheamus stops. Dean with forearms of his own and then Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick and gets his leg caught in the ropes. Dean drops Sheamus on the top rope and then Dean goes up top and hits an elbow drop for a near fall.

Sheamus kicks Dean in the chest and follows with a knee lift but Ambrose bounces off the ropes and hits a clothesline. Dean sets for the double underhook DDT and Sheamus goes to the floor and he heads to the back with his briefcase.

Randy Orton’s music plays and Dean hits Sheamus on the ramp and they go back into the ring. Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick and Ambrose with a rollup for the three count.

Winner Dean Ambrose

After the match
Orton attacks Sheamus on the floor and connects with a series of European uppercuts and then back in the ring, Orton with an IEDDT. Sheamus escapes an RKO attempt and Sheamus heads to the back with his briefcase.


Backstage:
Seth Rollins walks in the back with his title belt and Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble stop by. Seth calls them Harry and Lloyd. He says he hates to be the guy who says ‘I told you so’ . . . but I told you so. He beat Dean by himself because that is how good he is. He is willing to bring them back on board . . . if you have any inside information on who Hunter and Steph are choosing.

Jamie says they don’t know and wouldn’t tell him anyway. Jamie says they should pick the man who pinned the champ last week in the ring, Joey Mercury.

Seth says he did not think that Jamie could get any dumber. He says no one wants to see a match between Joey and him. You are trying to get your jobs back.

Joey tells Seth that he is afraid of him. Joey says he knows that Seth is afraid to get back into the ring with him. No matter what happens in your career, the record books will say that Seth Rollins lost to J&J Security. You are vulnerable. The question is not ‘if’ you lose the title, it is ‘when’ you lose the title.


Michael Cole mentions that we will celebrate the life of Dusty Rhodes throughout the night.

We see Dusty winning the NWA World Title from Harley Race in 1979.

We are back and King Truth makes his way out and he has a Burger King crown and plunger. We see photos of Truth’s victory over Wade Barrett on the Kickoff Show last night.

Truth says he can’t wait to see who Barrett is wrestling and Truth is advised that he is wrestling.


Wade Barrett vs R Truth

Barrett with a boot to the head and he punches Truth. Wade sets for the BullHammer but Truth with a rollup for the three count.

Winner: R-Truth

After the match
Barrett with a BullHammer and he rips up Truth’s kingly baubles.

Wade says this isn’t a joke. He earned the right to be called a King by winning the King of the Ring Tournament. This is prestigious while what Truth is doing is a mockery.


Backstage:
Heath Slater, Zack Ryder, Fandango, Summer Rae, Emma, and Alicia Fox are in the back with Machine Gun Kelly. Paige stops by and tells the ladies that she will send them information about a meeting later.

We go to commercial.

We are back we see photos of Kevin Owens and John Cena from Money in the Bank.

Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring.

We are told that John Cena has suffered lower back contusions and bruising.

Kevin says John Cena is not here tonight. If you want somebody to blame for that, look no further than John Cena himself. He is not denying that he played a part in what happened to John. After their match last night, he did power bomb John on the edge of the apron. The truth is John Cena forced him to do that.

After the match, as they shook hands, John said something to him that was the most disrespectful thing he heard in his fifteen year career. John said ‘You belong here and you belong in this ring.’ Kevin says that he knows that he belongs here. He knew that the moment he stepped into a WWE ring. He does not need John to endorse him in any way, shape, or form.

Kevin says people call him a sore loser, how about talking about Cena being a bad winner. John could have walked to the back after winning, just like Kevin did after the Chamber match. John insisted on shaking his hand. That is not a gesture of sportsmanship, it was a way to hog the spotlight. John Cena disrespected him and Kevin did what he had to do.

Regardless of what happened last night, he holds a victory over the United States Champion and he deserves a rematch. This time, when he wins, he wants the United States title.

Kevin says this is the time when John’s music would play, he would slide into the ring and hold up his title and make an open challenge. Kevin says since John is not here, he will make the open challenge.

Dolph Ziggler’s music plays and he comes out with a mic and Lana.

Dolph says other than kissing Lana, you just made his night. He is not out here to defend John Cena. You have a lot of guts standing in the ring talking about sacrifice. Dolph says he has scratched and clawed for everything in this business. You want to talk about sacrifice and hard work. This city has scratched and clawed for a championship opportunity and he will give it to them tonight. If you want a challenger for the NXT Title, you are looking at him.

Kevin stops Lillian Garcia and he says that he made an open challenge, but he never said the title was on the line. This is a non-title match.


Non Title Match
NXT Champion Kevin Owens versus Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler punches Owens but Owens sends Ziggler to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens with a rear chin lock. Ziggler with punches and kicks but he misses a drop kick. Owens with a back senton for a near fall. Owens drops Ziggler on the top rope. Owens drops Ziggler on the top rope again and he gets a near fall. Owens with a head butt to the ribs. Owens with a hard Irish whip. Owens taunts Ziggler and then he continues to kick Ziggler in the ribs.

Ziggler with punches and he sends Owens over the top rope with a Foley clothesline and both men go to the floor. Owens with a forearm to Ziggler and he connects with another forearm. Ziggler with punches to Owens but Owens with a punch and he sends Ziggler into Yeatonville.

Owens returns to the ring while the referee counts. Ziggler is able to miraculously get back into the ring at nine. Owens misses a back senton and Ziggler with a hesitation DDT that sends Owens to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens with a reverse chin lock. We see footage from the commercial break when Owens hit a Fallaway slam into the ringside barrier. Ziggler with an elbow and kick to Owens. Ziggler with forearms to Owens but Owens with a back elbow and Ziggler falls into the corner. Owens runs into a super kick and Ziggler falls on top for a near fall. Ziggler goes for a Fameasser but Owens blocks it. Ziggler counters into a sunset flip for a near fall.

Ziggler with a Fameasser for a near fall. Ziggler misses a Stinger Splash and Owens with a release German suplex followed by a cannonball for a near fall. Ziggler avoids the Pop Up Power Bomb and Ziggler hits the Zig Zag but Owens kicks out because Ziggler took too long to make the cover and went in a strange direction to make the cover.

Ziggler and Owens exchange kicks and Owens hits a Pop Up Power Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Kevin Owens


Backstage:
We see the Divas in the back and they wait for Paige to enter. Paige asks for everyone to gather round. Paige says she gathered everyone because they need to take a stand. Their lives have been dominated by the Bellas. They make everything about them.

Summer asks if this is because she lost to Nikki again last night.

Paige says she lost, but it is not about this. They need to stand together.

Alicia asks why should they trust her.

Paige asks why should they be the ones on top. Is it because of who they are married to? They need to show the others and the Authority.

Naomi says she agrees with Paige, but she will not let Paige boss her around.

Paige says she is so crazy she challenged the Bellas to a two on one handicap match. She does not have to be alone. She asks who is with her.

Brie and Nikki enter the room and she asks Paige if she was saying anything.

Nikki tells Paige that since she helped Stephanie win at SummerSlam last year, she has been the Divas Champion. She says if you want to side with Paige, go ahead.

The Divas start to walk out one by one until it is just Paige, Nikki, and Brie in the room.

Paige says this isn’t over, but Nikki and Brie suggest it is over.

We go to commercial.


Randy Orton vs Kane

Orton with kicks and punches. Orton with punches in the corner. Kane with an uppercut and kick followed by another uppercut. Kane with a boot to the middle of the chest for a near fall. Kane gets another near fall. Kane with a reverse chin lock. Orton with a belly-to-back suplex to get out of the hold and Orton with the Garvin Stomp. Orton misses the leaping knee drop and Kane with a side slam for a near fall.

Kane with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Kane kicks Orton and punches him. Orton with punches. Kane sets for the choke slam but Orton with kicks and then Orton with a kick and a clothesline. Orton with a clothesline in the corner. Orton does the pose and he hits another clothesline in the corner. Kane with an elbow and he misses a clothesline but Orton with a power slam.

Orton sets for the IEDDT but Sheamus’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Kane says the rest of the match is now No Holds Barred.

Orton punches Sheamus, who got in the ring and Sheamus with a Brogue Kick and Kane gets the three count.

Winner: Kane

After the match
Sheamus holds the briefcase over a motionless Orton.


We see Bray Wyatt making his presence known at Money in the Bank.

Backstage
Kane walks in the back and Seth Rollins stops him. He congratulates Kane on his victory and he says that Kane must be in a better mood than last night since Kane LOST and Seth WON, without Kane’s help. Seth says that Kane might have been one of Seth’s biggest doubters because Seth’s success physically pains Kane about what he used to be, a winner and a champion.

Kane says anyone can win one match. If you want to be the future of WWE, you need to win match after match, night after night. It takes an entire team behind you to do it. If you can’t understand that, you aren’t an architect, you are an idiot. No one can do it on their own.

Seth says he did and will continue to do so. Kane doesn’t understand since he has always had someone holding his hand. Whether it was the Authority, your brother, or Paul Bearer.

Kane tells Seth never to mention his family again or he will eviscerate Seth.

Seth tells Kane to never put his hands on him again. Seth says he hopes Stephanie and Triple H name him his next opponent. Seth says he should put Kane out of his misery.

We go to commercial.

We are back with another Dusty Rhodes moment. We go to Dusty’s Hall of Fame induction in 2007.

Ryback joins the announcers to watch the next match.


Big Show vs Miz

Show forces Miz to go to the floor to flap his wings to take off his sunglasses. Show goes to the floor and Miz gets back into the ring. Miz with kicks but Show gets back into the ring and Miz goes to the floor. Show follows Miz to the floor again and Miz gets back into the ring. Show appears to have hurt his leg getting back into the ring.

Miz gets too close and Show was playing possum and he chops Miz. Show with another chop. Show with a claw followed by the Shhhhh chop. Show with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Show sends Miz over the top rope to the floor and Show follows. Show chops Miz right in front of Ryback.

Show picks up Miz and throws him onto Ryback. Ryback takes off his headset and he gets in Show’s face. Miz crawls back into the ring and the referee makes the ten count.

Winner: Miz (by count out)

We go to commercial.

Roman Reigns says last night was not a good night. He did not get a lot of sleep so he is pissed off. Roman says he will not wait until Battleground, so why not do it here. Bray Wyatt, bring your ass out here right now.

Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. He says in the morning, two stars will rise. One speaks the truth. The other tells a lie.

Roman tells Bray to get out here now.

Bray laughs and he says hello to Roman and he says what a fiery temper you have. You want answers? You don’t have the capacity to comprehend the meaning. How quickly you forget it should have been him climbing the ladder to ascend to his destiny. It was you two weeks ago who stole his opportunity. He could have changed things and been that beacon of hope society desperately needs. You denied him. It is that ego of yours that makes you do such crazy things.

Bray says you remind him of someone he knew a very very long time ago. He was the chosen one and his people believed that this chosen one would lead them to paradise. He was chosen while the other was cast aside. Now we know they made the wrong choice. If you don’t believe him, all you have to do is look out the window. Then you will see this is no paradise, it is the opposite. Just like you and I . . . opposites. He is the yin to your yang. They balance things out. We need each other and that is how he knew last night when he saw you climbing the ladder, the true justice that you said you fought for needed to be sought out. Anyone but you . . . anyone but you. He will tempt you and lie to you. He will haunt you and he will destroy you.

Not tonight. Bray asks what kind of example would we set with Father’s Day around the corner. Bray mocks Roman’s commercial with his daughter while looking at a photo of Roman and his daughter. Patience Roman, our fun is just starting. Our fun is starting.

Paige vs Nikki Bella (c) and Brie Bella

Nikki starts off and she goes into the ropes to avoid Paige and Brie is tagged in. Brie gets into the ropes and Paige is held back by the referee. Nikki tags in and does jumping jacks but Paige with a spear and punches. Nikki with a forearm but Paige with a leg sweep and she gets a near fall. Paige knocks Brie off the apron. Paige puts Nikki across the middle rope and she connects with knees to the midsection and she screams.

Brie trips Paige and Nikki gets a near fall. Brie tags in and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Brie with elbows to the clavicle and she applies a rear chin lock. Paige with punches but Brie with a back elbow. Brie sets for the Brie Mode running knee and she connects and gets a near fall.

Nikki tags in and they hit a double flap jack and Nikki gets a near fall. Nikki with a knee to the back. Nikki with a kick to the back and a figure four head scissors. Nikki does push ups while keeping Paige in the head scissors. Paige bridges back and gets a near fall. Nikki kicks Paige in the back and Brie tags in. Paige avoids Brie and Brie clotheslines Nikki by accident.

Brie misses a splash into the corner and Paige with a knee followed by a series of short arm clotheslines. Paige kicks Brie in the head and then sends Brie into Nikki to knock her off the apron. Paige with a thrust kick and RamPaige but Nikki breaks up the cover.

Nikki sends Paige into the turnbuckles and then she tags in. Nikki with a forearm to the head and then she hits Shock Treatment for the three count.

Winners: Nikki Bella and Brie Bella

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for a performance from Machine Gun Kelly.

Kevin Owens comes out to applaud Machine Gun Kelly and Kelly offers his hand to Owens. Owens does not appreciate that and then Kelly pushes Owens. Owens power bombs Kelly off the stage.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Michael Cole has righteous indignation for what Kevin Owens did to Machine Gun Kelly. John Layfield and Byron Saxton have similar sentiments.

We take a look at the new Terminator movie.

We see the New Day in the Goldman Box. Xavier says they are not going to freak out because they lost the title. Kofi says they are going to teach the PTP about the POP and regain their tag titles. They say that today is a new day.

We also saw the Prime Time Players in the Goldman Box. They borrow the New Age Outlaws intro and the New Day clap.


Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E vs Neville, Darren Young, and Titus O’Neil

Young and Woods start things off and they lock up. They lock up again and Woods with a wrist lock but Young gets into the corner. Woods misses a punch and Young with a wrist lock. Woods with a punch. Woods floats over Young and Young with a roaring elbow followed by a reverse atomic drop and neck breaker for a near fall. Kofi tags in and he punches Young but Kofi has to tag in Woods. Woods with a forearm to the back. Young with a clothesline and he tags in Titus. Titus sends Young onto Woods with a gourdbuster and then Titus with a back breaker to Kofi and he tosses him aside. Big E is sent over the top rope to the floor. Neville comes in and he hits a corkscrew plancha onto Woods and Big E.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Woods with a cobra clutch on Young. Young with punches but Woods with a forearm to the back. Big E tags in and he sends Young into the turnbuckles with Snake Eyes while Kofi and Woods hit enzuigiris. Kofi with a near fall and then he applies a quarter nelson and chin lock. Young with a head butt. Kofi trips Young and then he goes up top and hits a double sledge and gets a near fall.

Kofi kicks Young and chokes him as Big E joins in. Woods tags in and he applies a cobra clutch. Young with punches and an arm drag but Woods with a kick to the knee and a super kick to knock Titus off the apron. Neville tags in and he leaps over Woods and hits a back heel kick and more kicks followed by a running boot to the temple. Neville with a flying forearm to Woods after knocking Big E and Kofi off the apron.

Woods blocks a German suplex and Woods with a German suplex but Neville lands on his feet. Neville kicks Woods and he goes up top. Titus with a Pounce to knock Kofi off the apron. Titus with a spinebuster to Big E. Woods with a rollup and clothesline for a near fall. Kofi tags in and knocks Young out of the ring. Kofi with a reverse suplex but Neville lands on his feet. Young with the gutcheck and Neville tags back in and he hits the Red Arrow for the three count.

Winners: Neville, Titus O’Neil, and Darren Young


We take another look at the last 24 hours for Kevin Owens.

Backstage:
We see a dartboard with Seth Rollins’ photo on it. We see Kane and Dean together and Kane says that it is his job to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Dean laughs and he says he is thinking about Kane being the World Champion.

Kane points out that he has been the World Champion.

Dean says it was the Hellfire and Brimstone person, not the current Kane. That guy was the World Champion. You are an errand boy in a suit. Kane says he is an executive in a Global Company. Dean says Kane talks a big game, but in the end, you are loyal to the Authority. Your heart isn’t in this. It is just a job. Dean says this is his life. This is what he lives for, putting it on the line every night. He has the title in his fingers and he could taste it. He liked it and he won’t stop until he gets another taste. He will never stop until he gets it.

Backstage:
We see Stephanie McMahon and Triple H walk in the back. Who will they choose?

We are back with a Dusty Rhodes moment with some of his greatest promos.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring.

Stephanie says that she wants to apologize for the actions of Kevin Owens against Machine Gun Kelly. Disciplinary actions will be taken because that is what is best for business. It is their job to do what is best for business for this global company. They are here to make the decision for Seth Rollins’ next opponent because that is what is best for business.

Hunter says a lot of people who feel they deserve a title match against Seth Rollins. It will not be Joey Mercury. It will not be Jamie Noble. It will not be Kane. It will not be Dean Ambrose.

Stephanie asks Hunter, who will Seth’s opponent be?

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says it does not matter who they pick as his next opponent because they have been right all along. There is no one on the roster who can beat him. Seth says he will beat the person announced as his next opponent. He will embarrass them and make Hunter and Stephanie proud.

Hunter says that you have proven since Wrestlemania. You have beaten Roman Reigns, you have beaten Randy Orton, you have beaten Dean Ambrose. Hunter says you have proven your point and you might say you never needed help.

Stephanie says that without the Authority, some people think you are ripe for the picking. You have tested their patience.

Hunter says they have invested everything in the future and in you. There are times when you have to take a step back and look at the investment to determine if it is going to pay off or is it a loss. You put a lump of coal under great pressure. It can crumble and turn into dust. Or you can turn it into the diamond you always hoped it would be.

Hunter asks Seth will you crumble or turn into the diamond they invested in. The pressure is on.

Brock Lesnar’s music plays and he comes out with Paul Heyman.

Brock circles the ring and then he does the Brock Bounce and leaps to the apron.

We reported that Paul Heyman was scheduled to return to WWE TV tonight to begin the build for Brock Lesnar's return to WWE.

Well it appears that build to the return won't be long....Brock Lesnar arrived today in Cleveland, the site of tonight's Raw broadcast.

Of course does not exactly mean he will be on RAW but Lesnar does not go anywhere unless he needs to lol
