IMPACT Wrestling's Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore will be stepping in the ring to compete at the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view.

During a segment on the latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, D'Amore announced that he is taking a leave of his duties as EVP, as a result of getting physical with Bully Ray at the Against All Odds event last week. Bully Ray and Steve Maclin then emerged to attack D'Amore with PCO making the save.

It has been confirmed that D'Amore and PCO will team at Slammiversary to face Ray and Maclin. This will be D'Amore's first match since IMPACT's IPWF Throwback event in 2022. Slammiversary 2022 will take place on July 15, from D'Amore's hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

This much-anticipated tag-team match is one of three matches confirmed for IMPACT Wrestling's upcoming event. Slammiversary will see IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley defend his title against Nick Aldis. Shelley captured the title at Against All Odds, the same night that Aldis became the number-one contender by winning the 8-4-1 Match.

IMPACT Slammiversary will also see IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo defend her title against Trinity. The former Naomi debuted for IMPACT Wrestling in May of this year and wasted no time in making her intentions to become champion clear. Trinity officially challenged Purrazzo on the June 1, episode of IMPACT on AXS TV which the champion accepted. Purrazzo recently reached 500 cumulative days as IMPACT Knockouts World Champion across her three reigns.
