Impact Wrestling is starting to make several matches official for their Slammiversary pay-per-view event on July 15. The company announced on Twitter that "Speedball" Mike Bailey, Jonathan Gresham, Kushida, and Angels will compete in an Ultimate X match at the Slammiversary.
Slammiversary has been one of Impact Wrestling's biggest events of the year. Their upcoming show has fans waiting with anticipation, as they've already announced four matches before the Ultimate X reveal. One of the matches the company has been promoting heavily is Trinity challenging Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo for the title.
Since debuting with the promotion, Trinity has become one of the company's biggest stars. In her debut, she made it known that she was coming for the Knockouts World Championship and wanted to face the best competitors Impact Wrestling has to offer. For Purrazzo, she hopes to ruin Trinity's momentum and show why she is one of the best to hold the Knockouts title.
Another match on the card that the company has been building toward is the tag team match between Steve Maclin and Bully Ray and Impact Wrestling President Scott D'Amore and PCO. The storyline has been going on since earlier this year, and it seems it will conclude at Slammiversary. Impact Wrestling added another stipulation to the match by announcing that four-time NHL Stanley Cup champion Darren McCarty would serve as the Special Enforcer.
Slammiversary is looking to be a stacked card, especially with the announcement of the Ultimate X Match. However, impact Wrestling could have more matches planned.
One of the matches that could be added to the card is Santino Marella and Dirty Dango. The feud has been building for over a month, as Dango was revealed to have attacked Marella backstage. Dango has been a complete heel, as he has also spoken about Marella's daughter. This enraged Marella, who cut a passionate promo on the June 29 episode of Impact Wrestling.
While the company has had the two talent feuding, they have yet to announce the match for Slammiversary.
Another match that could take place at the pay-per-view is for X-Division Champion Chris Sabin to defend his title against Lio Rush. Rush attacked Sabin on the June 29 episode and posed with the X-Division Championship. Sabin later issued a challenge shared on Twitter for Rush to face him at Slammiversary.
Impact Wrestling has enough time to add more matches to the show, but it looks like it will be an exciting PPV.
