Santana and Ortiz teamed together at AEW All In, but only after Santana had to be talked into the idea.
At AEW's largest-ever event, Oritz & Santa were part of the Stadium Stampede match. The pair teamed with the Blackpool Combat Club (AEW International Champion Jon Moxley, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) in a losing effort to NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta), and Orange Cassidy.
In July of last year, it was reported that Santana and Ortiz were struggling to get along despite having teamed for years. In the days prior to All In, it was reported that the pair were still on bad terms.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that Santana had to be "talked into" working alongside his former ally inside Wembley Stadium. Fans may have noticed that the pair rarely shared the screen together during the match or in the lead-up segments on TV prior to All In.
Neither Santana nor Ortiz have publicly addressed the reason for their fallout. In the Observer, it is revealed that Santana was unhappy with his position in AEW and hopeful to part ways with the company. However, Santana's contract has been extended due to time missed from programming due to his injury. Ortiz on the other hand was content earning a steady paycheck with the promotion, leading to the tension between both men.
