Adam Cole reportedly was injured during his involvement in the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam main event on Wednesday night.

During the MJF vs. Samoa Joe match for the AEW World Championship, Cole ran to the ring and jumped off the ramp and onto the ground, but fell to the ground immediately. Cole was able to get to his feet quickly and participate in the match to help MJF retain his title, but was limping throughout the entire thing.

Cole reportedly went to the hospital after the show and left on crutches. There have been no reports confirming the severity of the injury, how much time Cole will need away from the ring, and what his timetable is to return.

Cole recently returned to AEW after being away for months due to a severe concussion he suffered last summer at the first Forbidden Door event. Cole and MJF are ROH World Tag Team Champions and are scheduled to defend those titles at the upcoming WrestleDream PPV.

Despite Cole's injury, MJF was able to hold off Samoa Joe and retain his AEW World Championship at Grand Slam. Joe earned the opportunity to face MJF for the title after winning a Championship Eliminator Tournament. There is no word as to when or where MJF's next title defense will be.

In addition to Cole, Jon Moxley also suffered an injury during his match against Rey Fenix at Grand Slam. Moxley reportedly was concussed through his entire match after taking a running splash on the outside of the ring.

Moxley finished the match, but was wobbly throughout. In the end, Fenix defeated Moxley to win the AEW International Championship, but the finish was botched due to the referee stopping his three count even though Moxley's shoulders stayed pinned to the mat.
