Angry WWE NXT Live Coverage - May 27th, 2025

Ricky Saints defends the NXT North American Championship against Ethan Page

NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints will defend his title against Ethan Page in a highly anticipated rematch. Saints defeated Page at Stand & Deliver, but that hasn’t deterred All Ego as he has continued to attack the champion. After numerous chaotic encounters, NXT General Manager Ava had no choice but to make the match. Will Saints once again come out victorious, or will Page win the North American Title?

    – The show kicks off with a video recapping the events of Battleground.

    – Vic Joseph, Booker T, and Corey Graves greet audiences at home as Ricky Saints makes his way out to the ring. Ethan Page follows, and security guards line the outside of the ring.

Security keeps him from using the chair, but Saints sends Page's head bouncing off the ring apron and dumps him back inside the ring.

Saints mocks Page and delivers a chop to him, but Page whips Saints into the corner chest first and fires off a couple of strikes on him. Page and Saints then continue firing off right hands on one another in the crowd. Page sends Saints crashing into the chair on the outside throat first.

Page rains down right hands on Saints back inside the ring, and the two men fire off right hands on one another. Saints connects with a DDT on Page, but Page sends Saints crashing into the mat face first and follows it up with the Twisted Grin for the win.

    – Tony D'Angelo is in a woodshop with Luca Crusifino. Crusifino says Stacks abandoned him and he didn't reach out because he didn't want to put people at risk but he had to come back. D'Angelo asks Crusifino what his intentions were and then says he can't trust anyone right now. Crusifino says to trust him.

    – Trick Williams walks backstage, he's up next but first we have a commercial.

Trick Williams is in the ring and he says Hollywood Trick has arrived, then says he's making history by being the first "NXT" star to hold the TNA World Championship. He says he's turning his back on the people because they turned their back on him last week.

Mike Santana's music hits, and he makes his way out. Williams says Santana made his first mistake by interrupting his champion, but Santana says Williams is not his champion and says Williams will not tear down TNA after himself and the rest of the locker room built up. Santino Marella appears on the Titan Tron and congratulates Williams, then says Williams will be a fighting champion and announces that Williams will be defending the TNA World Championship against Santana next week.

Kid introduces himself, but Page says he won't let Kid and Evans ruin his night. Evans then reveals that there's one more person involved in the North American Championship match at Worlds Collide, and Rey Fenix reveals himself to be that person. She follows it up with a meteora to Jayne and goes for a pin, but Jayne kicks out and connects with a running knee on Vaquer. She looks to follow it up with a cannonball, but Vaquer moves out of the way.

Vaquer sends Jayne crashing into the ring apron face first and sends her crashing into the ring steps, then dumps her back in the ring. Fallon Henley hops up on the apron to distract Vaquer, but Vaquer sends Jayne crashing into Henley before sending Jayne crashing out of the ring with a kick. Henley and Jayne begin yelling at each other, but Jazmyn Nyx tries to calm them down. Jayne and Henley both shove Nyx, but Vaquer levels them with a crossbody and dumps Jayne back in the ring.

Nyx distracts the referee as Henley delivers a kick to Vaquer while she brawls with Jayne in the corner. This opens the door for Jayne to level Vaquer with a spinning right hand for the win.

Winner and NEW NXT Women's Champion: Jacy Jayne

    – Fatal Influence mocks Vaquer in the ring as Jayne holds up her title and we go off the air.
