US President Donald Trump has announced plans to host a UFC fight at the White House grounds. The proposed event, as part of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, July 4, 2026 and would draw up to 25,000 spectators.

“Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? We’re going to have a UFC fight — think of this — on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said.

The event is part of a wider celebration for America250, which includes special programs at national parks, battlefields, and historic sites.

“Every one of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honour of ‘America250’ and I even think we’re going to have a UFC fight,” Trump added.

The 79-year-old said UFC President, and also his longtime friend, Dana White would handle the logistics of the fight.
“We have a lot of land there … Dana is going to do it. Dana is great, one of a kind — going to be UFC fight, championship fight, full fight, like 20,000 to 25,000 people, and we’re going to do that as part of ‘250’ also.:"
