CM Punk Kicks Off Raw
CM Punk will be live on Monday Night Raw and is set to kick off the show. The Second City Saint is still reeling from his beatdown at the hands of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed and will have much to say. Punk also fell victim to Rollins when The Visionary pulled off the ruse of the century at SummerSlam and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Title from Punk, who had just defeated Gunther to capture the championship.
– The show kicks off with a video recapping the recent on-goings between Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk.
– Michael Cole and Corey Graves then greet audiences at home as CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk says it's great to be alive on a Monday Night in Quebec City, then says he should be World Heavyweight Champion for the fans but he isn't. He says he has a Seth Rollins problem, and while Rollins is trying his best to impersonate him, he's failing miserably. He says if anyone thought he was relentless and obsessed with becoming champion before, he's even more obsessed now. He says he understands Rollins cashing in, but he still hates Rollins. He says Rollins is pretending to be him by faking an injury, then promises he will dethrone him as World Heavyweight Champion and says he will break his legs.
LA Knight's music hits, and he makes his way out. He shakes hands with Punk, then says he wants to talk to the fans. He says Punk was robbed at SummerSlam, then says Punk deserves to have his rematch for the World Heavyweight Champion. Knight then calls out Punk for costing him his own shot at the World Heavyweight Championship last week, and says while he gets where Punk was coming from, it was the wrong place at the wrong time. He says himself and Punk don't have a problem, but he needs Punk to stay out of his way and do what he needs to do after the bell rings as he continues going after Rollins.
Punk says Knight should be thanking him for preventing Rollins from ending his career last week, then asserts that he saved Knight's career. He says he should be the next Number One Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, but Knight says that unlike Punk, he's never been a World Champion. He says Punk isn't on his level, then reiterates that he doesn't want to have a problem with Punk. He says he can forget about last week as long as Punk doesn't stop over the line, then tells Punk to let him be the one to dethrone Rollins in order to receive the first shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.
Punk tells Knight that he's the "Best In The World", but before he can continue, Paul Heyman interrupts the two men and makes his way to the ring along with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Heyman takes shots at the two men, but Punk dares Heyman to get in the ring with him. Heyman responds by challenging Punk and Knight to a match against Breakker and Reed on their behalf. Punk accepts Heyman's challenge, but Knight says Punk can't talk for him before he accepts the challenge himself.
Breakker then looks to go after Punk and Knight, but Reed holds him back.
