NXT Champion Oba Femi teams up with Ricky Saints and Hank & Tank to battle DarkState

NXT Champion Oba Femi must put aside his differences with Ricky Saints as the two will team with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger to face DarkState in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match. The Ruler and Saints will clash at No Mercy for Femi's title, but first they must quell the threat of the dangerous NXT Tag Team Champions. Former Champions Hank & Tank joined the fight to exact payback, hoping to earn a future championship opportunity.

    – We are live! Vic Joseph and Booker T greet audiences at home as Jaida Parker makes her way to the ring. Lash Legend follows.

    Lash Legend vs. Jaida Parker

The bell rings and the two shove one another. Parker fires off shoulders on Legend in the corner, but Legend responds with a shoulder tackle and a standing splash to Parker. Parker looks to land shoulder tackles of her own on Legend, but Legend blocks them.

Parker drapes Legend across the middle turnbuckle and looks to land her signature Hip Attack on her, but Legend avoids it and delivers a chokeslam to Parker. She lands a knee on her, then wears her down with a submission hold.

Legend whips Parker into the corner, then runs her over with a clothesline and wears down Parker with a Bear Hug. She connects with an overhand chop, then looks to land a standing splash on her. Parker rolls out of the way, then fires off right hands and left hands on Legend's midsection. She follows it up with a flying shoulder tackle to Legend and delivers a Hip Attack, then delivers a backstabber and a Blockbuster to Legend.

Legend rocks Parker with a Ripcord Knee, then connects with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. She goes for a pin, but Parker kicks out and Legend charges at her in the corner. Parker moves out of the way and drapes her across the middle turnbuckle, then fires off right hands on her and connects with her signature Hip Attack. She sends Legend crashing into the mat with a Samoan Drop, but Legend drags Parker out of the ring.

Legend runs over Parker with a pump kick, then sends her crashing into the announce desk with the Lash Extension. Legend dumps Parker back in the ring, then connects with another Lash Extension on her back in the ring for the win.

    Winner: Lash Legend

    – After the match, Legend leaves the ring and Parker attacks Legend and slams her into the steel steps and hits Hipnotic through the barricade on Legend.

    – Arianna Grace is talking to Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo. Blake Monroe comes in and she and Grace make friends and bond over make-up. Grace tells Monroe that she doesn't like Jordynne Grace and that they're not related. Jordynne Grace comes in and starts shit and Kali Armstrong tells Jordynne that now they have a problem.

    – We come back from commercial break and Je'Von Evans is on his way out to the ring.

Evans says he knows the fans expect him to come to the ring and be excited, but after Heatwave, he doesn't think that he can do that. He says he thought he had Oba Femi when he beat Trick Williams in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and while WWE Legends had given him great advice, Heatwave felt different. He says he felt nervous, and if there was any night he was going to be NXT Champion, it was August 24. He says he called him baby sister to tell her that her older brother would be the youngest NXT Champion in history, but he didn't do that.

Evans says he heard the referee count to three, but he saw Femi's foot under the rope. He says that's when Femi capitalized, and before he knew it, Femi's hand was raised in the air. He apologies to fans for letting them down, then says he also feels like he let himself down and says he didn't talk to anyone about his feelings for a good week.

We see someone driving a motorcycle appear on the Titan Tron, and they get off of it as Evans tells them that he isn't playing around. The Undertaker's gong sounds, but Josh Briggs instead appears and says he hates everything Evans represents in the locker room. Evans tells Briggs that he's not trying to listen to him right now, but Briggs says Evans is from a generation that just tweets things. He says he should've just confronted Femi in person to get an NXT Championship rematch, then tells Evans to try being him.

Evans says he's trying to be nice and tell him that he's not in the mood respectively, but Briggs continues talking over him and says he's not done talking. He says Evans is looking for someone to get a gold star, but he's not good enough at the end of the day and runs over Evans with a pump kick. He fires off stomps on Evans, then tells Evans he needs to learn when to fight and when to lay down.

Briggs grabs a chair from the outside, then sets it up and chokeslams Evans on top of it.

    – Hank & Tank, Oba Femi and Ricky Saints all warm up backstage. Hank & Tank try to get Saints and Femi on the same page by hyping Saints to Femi and Femi to Saints. They leave and Femi and Saints tell each other to keep out of the other ones way.

Brookside rolls up LeRae, but LeRae kicks out and lands a knee as the clock approaches a minute and twenty seconds. LeRae delivers a Tornado DDT to Brookside off the ropes as the clock hits thirty seconds, then follows it up with a springboard moonsault for the win.

    Winner: Candice LeRae

    – Josh Briggs walks into the men's locker room. Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon tells Briggs they're upset with how he treated Je'Von Evans. Andre Chase comes by and tells Briggs to calm down. Connors and Dixon tell Briggs that Chase is gonna destroy him and go to Ava to officially have a match with Chase and Briggs.

    – Ava is in her office with Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley, Zaria, Sol Ruca, Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. Ava tells them she's talked to Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis and she wants one of them to have a WWE tag title opportunity. Ava sets a triple threat tag match for next week to determine who will get this opportunity.

    – A video package for DarkState plays where they talk about taking over NXT.

    – Trick Williams walks backstage and he's headed to the ring to tell us what's on his mind after this commercial break.

    – We come back from the commercial break and Trick Williams makes his way out to the ring.

Williams meant what he said last week when he called himself the greatest and hottest NXT star who ever lived. He says there are many out there who don't care about NXT, but the locker room has make sure that isn't the case, then says everyone wishes that he had what he has. He says all the favourites that the fans love don't love him back.

#DIY's music hits and they make their way to the ring. Johnny Gargano tells the fans that himself and Tommaso Ciampa do love them, then says they heard that the NXT homecoming is in two weeks but they decided to stop by a little early. He says today is the ten year anniversary of #DIY being in NXT. Gargano says Williams may be a two time NXT Champion, but so is Ciampa. Ciampa and Gargano point out that Gargano is a three time NXT Champion and they're both former NXT Tag Team Champions, but neither of them has won the TNA World Champion.

Gargano says Williams' resume speaks for itself, and one thing they all have in common is their passion for NXT. He says there were two guys who defined an era of NXT and bled black and gold: himself and Gargano. Williams says Gargano is Johnny Takeover and Ciampa is "Blackheart". He says everyone talked about how great #DIY was until he came along.

Ciampa shoves Williams, and Gargano lands a superkick on him. #DIY then land Meeting In The Middle on Williams.

    – Je'Von Evans is in medical and he isn't so bouncy right now. Ava comes in and tells Evans he can have Briggs next week and makes Evans promise he won't interfere in Briggs match tonight.

    – Backstage in Ava's office, Tavion Heights and Ethan Page go back and forth and Heights says he doesn't have an issue with Canada but with Page. Ava schedules a flag match pitting the two against each other next week.

    – Kali Armstrong makes her way to the ring. Jordynne Grace follows.

She follows it up with a back body drop, then fires off shoulders on Grace in the corner. Grace delivers a Sliced Bread to Armstrong, then cinches in a Camel Clutch on her.

Armstrong fires off a stomp on Grace's midsection and lands a kick on her oblique, then sends her face crashing into the mat. Grace and Armstrong teeter on the ropes and Grace looks to land a Sunset Flip on Armstrong, but Armstrong blocks Grace and rocks her with a right hand. Armstrong sends Grace bouncing off the top rope, then follows it up with a backbreaker. Grace fires off knees on Armstrong, then runs her over with a pair of clotheslines. Armstrong delivers a scoop powerslam to Grace, but Grace levels Armstrong with a back elbow and follows it up with the Grace Driver for the win.

Briggs lands a Boss Man Slam on Chase, but Chase catches Briggs with a Stunner and follows it up with a crossbody off the top rope. He goes for a pin, but Chase kicks out. Briggs then runs over Chase with a big boot for the win.

James tags in and fires off a right hand on Walker. Osiris Griffin tags in and DarkState teams up on Walker before Griffin wears him down with a submission hold and continues wearing down Walker.
