Angry WWE NXT Live Coverage - October 14th, 2025

Battle Royal to determine No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women's Title at Halloween Havoc

The No. 1 Contender to NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne will be determined in a Battle Royal featuring NXT and TNA Superstars.

    — We start the show with clips from the NXT/TNA Showdown from last week.

    — Lola Vice, Jaida Parker, Zaria & Sol Ruca walking backstage before the show.

    — Vic Joseph and Booker T greet audiences at home as Ricky Saints makes his way to the ring.

Saints says when his back is against the wall, he'll fight for himself and the fans while Trick Williams folds under pressure when things get tough. Saints says the night he became NXT Champion, everything became clear for him. He says Williams abandoned "NXT" when it got hard for him, then calls him delusional and says he won't be waiting for a new Number One Contender to emerge and challenges Williams to a NXT Championship match at "NXT" Halloween Havoc.

Williams appears on the jumbo tron and says Saints is just following in his footsteps. He says his size 15 shoes are too big for Saints to fill, and while Saints waited his whole life to get where he is now, he's a VIP and didn't have to do that. He says he knows Saints is mad enough to put his NXT Championship on the line, but says they'll do things on his time.

Saints says he should've expected Williams not to come to the ring to face him like a man, then says he'll show Williams why he's "Absolute".

    — Leon Slater and Je'Von Evans are backstage. The Hardyz come in and talk about being DarkState. Jeff and Matt say both Slater and Evans are top stars and tell Evans and Slater they'll get receipts for them in their rematch.

    — We see Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan arguing backstage via a hidden camera stream. They will see each other in the Battle Royal tonight.

    — Matt Cardona makes his way to the ring. Josh Briggs follows.

    Matt Cardona vs. Josh Briggs

The bell rings and Cardona fires off right hands on Briggs. He rains down right hands on Briggs using the middle rope for balance, but Briggs trips Cardona and fires off stomps on his spine. He continues wearing him down in the corner and mocks Cardona with his signature chant, but Cardona dumps Briggs out of the ring and flies over the top rope to level Briggs on the outside.

Back from the break, Cardona delivers a DDT to Briggs and runs him over with a clothesline. He sends Briggs crashing into the mat face first and fires off forearms on him in the corner, then follows it up with an Unprettier as an homage to his wife Chelsea Green and goes for a pin. Briggs kicks out.

Cardona rocks Briggs with a boot to the side of his head on the outside, but Briggs catches Cardona with a back elbow on the apron. He follows with a backbreaker and a sit-out chokeslam, then goes for a pin but Cardona kicks out. Briggs then grabs his chain, but the referee catches him. This opens the door for Cardona to deliver Radio Silence to Briggs and pin him, but Briggs manages to kick out.

Cardona ascends up to the middle rope and looks to fly, but Briggs intercepts Cardona with a powerbomb mid-air and runs him over with a big boot for the win.

    Winner: Josh Briggs

    — Hank & Tank, Chase U and Lyra Valkyria are backstage talking about number one tag contenders. Valkyria asks where Tatum Paxley is and The Culling come up and Izzi Dame tells Hank & Tank and Chase U that Shawn Spears and Niko Vance are the best tag team.

    — After the match, Wagner Jr. calls Ethan Page to the ring. Page's music hits and he makes his way out, and the two get into a verbal confrontation that ends with Page telling Wagner Jr. that he'll beat him at Halloween Havoc. Wagner Jr. then reveals that himself and Page will be facing off in a Day Of The Dead match at Halloween Havoc.

    — We then head backstage where Zaria gets mad at Sol Ruca for participating in the NXT Women's Championship Number One Contenders Battle Royal later tonight and storms off, telling her she doesn't want her at ringside for her upcoming match.

    — Santino Marella and Ava talk to Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater and the latter want a tag match at Halloween Havoc. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace come in and they ask for a match against Leon Slater. A commotion is heard backstage. Trick Williams has Ricky Saints laid out. Ava yells for medical.

She lands a running uppercut on her in the corner, then lands another shotgun dropkick on Zaria's leg this time. Zaria cinches in a sleeper on Monroe, then fires off forearms on Monroe on the outside and dumps her back in the ring. Monroe then sends Zaria's throat bouncing off the top turnbuckle.

Back from the break, Monroe wears down Zaria with a submission hold. Zaria powers up to her feet to send Monroe crashing into the mat, then fires off overhand chops on her. Zaria gets fired up and runs over Monroe with a clothesline.

Monroe grabs a chair from under the ring and slides it inside, but Sol Ruca runs down to the ring and takes the chair from Monroe before she can hit Zaria with it. As the referee is still distracted by Ruca, Monroe grabs a hair pin out of her hair before Zaria sets up for an F5 on her. Monroe rakes the hair pin across Zaria's throat and connects with the Glamour Shot for the win.

    Winner: Blake Monroe

    — Ava talks about how the Men's Speed Tournament starts on NXT next week.

    — Hank Walker and Tank Ledger make their way to the ring. Chase U and The Culling follow.

Uriah Connors, Niko Vance, and Ledger begin the action. The bell rings and all three men take turns rolling one another up and kicking out. Vance rocks Walker with a right hand as Walker stands on the apron and tags in Shawn Spears. Spears delivers a Codebreaker to Ledger, but Walker tags in. Spears catches Walker with a boot, but Walker responds with a spinning slam to him. Walker and Ledger then get hyped up and land a double running splash on Spears and Vance before Connors and Kale Dixon fly to take out Walker and Ledger on the outside.

Spears dumps Walker back in the ring and tags out to Vance. Vance rains down right hands on Walker and sends him crashing into the mat, then goes for a pin but Dixon breaks the fall. Vance sets up for a superplex on Dixon, but Dixon fights him off.
