Dominik Mysterio arrived at WrestleMania 42 in style, and the luchadores surrounding his throne entrance were not just extras in masks.
According to Bodyslam, the masked performers accompanying Dominik to the ring for his match against Finn Balor were real luchadores, including Gravity, Rayo Star, Anubis, Mexa Boys members Noisy Boy and Spider Fly, Calibus, Diablo Azteca, Skalibur, and Enigma, also known as Rey Mysterio under his King persona.
Dominik arrived on a large throne surrounded by the luchadores in white masks as a nod to his King of the Luchadores status, creating one of the more visually striking entrance moments of the weekend.
The report notes that WrestleMania entrances have historically featured extras who later went on to bigger things within WWE, with CM Punk and Charlotte Flair cited as examples. The use of real luchadores in such a prominent setting could help put those performers on WWE's radar at a time when the company is actively working with AAA and expanding its presence in the Mexican market.
Dominik currently holds the AAA Mega Championship, making his connection to the lucha libre world a natural fit for the visual presentation WWE built around his WrestleMania entrance.
