She Was In My Room....

Rizzl's Story:


It was a weekend, and after dinner, we ran out of ideas were to go to. It was around ten at nite. Someone suggested Labrador Park to watch some fishing action. Well, with no better options, the five of us headed out west.

The carpark was dimly lit and everyone started to get out chattering and joking, as we started down this path which lead down to the beach. There was a cool breeze and everything was normal, until about five minutes later where almost at the same time, everyone silenced. I could not tell you what the others were feeling, but its just that feeling you are being watched and the hair at the back of the neck just stood up. Shit, somethings not right, I thought. At that point, the eldest of the guys said that we should turn back and go home. Nobody argued and we just walked up back to our cars and drove off. No one said a word. Everyone got home in one piece but that was just the beginning....

I slept almost immediately cause I had to go somewhere in the morning (I cannot remember where), but not before setting the alarm clock first. Not long later, I had a dream, we were back at the path on Labrador Park with my friends. It was exactly as what happened earlier only this time, when we felt uneasy, I knew something was above us. I nudged my friend and whispered if he felt it too. He nodded and mumbled something like it was "her" cause of the sweet fragrance that lingered. The fragipani, I suppose, fragrance appeared out of nowhere and it was strong now. I told him, "If you looked up, I would too!" (Don't ask me why we wanted to do that). He nodded and we counted 1........2...........3 and looked up!

I woke up in my bed, heart beating fast and looked around. I was glad it was just a dream. THEN I smelt it. "Her" sweet smell. In my room..... the hair of at the back of the neck was at its ends and I dashed out of the room. I went straight to my parents room and slept beside my baby brother. I was awake the next 10 minutes and thinking, could it be...... Just like any scary movie. I just had to reconfirm.

I stepped out to the living room and I still don't know why I did not switch the lights on. I glanced at my room and it looked normal. No smell, no movement, no nothing. I then saw my alarm clock on my desk and thought, Oh shit, without that I would definitely miss my appointment the next morning. Half angry and half scared. I decided to walk fast into my room and get the damn clock. I looked again into the room and after making sure everything was a-okay, I walked in.

Almost immediately, I smelt it again. It was stronger this time. I grabbed the clock and rushed out. I headed to my parents room and stayed there the whole night. I finally fell asleep and made my appointment the next day. I did not sleep in my room the next couple of days.

When I saw my friends again and told them my experience, the elder guys told me that they knew that "she" was around that night and that was the reason he advised us to leave. Apparently, she left with me. They chuckled but although now I can laugh it off, it was not funny at all that night.
