Lightbulb UOW POLL: Week 48 - Will Heyman leaving hurt ECW?

    UOW POLL - WEEK 48
(Poll found at bottom of main page)

    Will Heyman leaving hurt ECW?

Yes this should be in ECW forums but I'll leave the polls in here for now till its own forum is made

Well, what a week, Heyman quit, or got released. I think he knows his ECW is not there anymore, I do not blame him in the least for leaving, he is being controled even though he was told he had creative control.

It seems the original ECW stars just arn't getting a push and all these WWE superstars come in and take over. The true ECW fans will not be pleased, with Heyman leaving, this will most probably push RVDs decision to leave into a positive. His contract being up soon, he was deciding what to do, this could effect his decision and this will hurt what ECW is IMO. Not sure about Sabu, time will tell there.

Well, it was nice of WWE to use Paul heyman to get ECW off the ground

IMO it will hurt ECW brand if he leaves.

ecw was already hurt before heyman left because vince because decided to use ecw as a way of bringing in more money and has made ecw nothing more than wwe's third brand. ever since vince brought back ecw all the "ecw originals" have been jobbingto mid-card wwe wrestlers like ejihah burke, terkay and lashley. vince has completely killed the legacy of ecw and he's hurt ecw so much that rob van dam might leave when his contract expires

I don't think that Heymans leaving is going to be the final nail in the new ECW's coffin as a lot of people have been predicting lately. He is a good character, but he's not great and he isn't that important in the grand scheme of things. Unlike Bischoff in the NWO era and McMahon in the Attitude era, the company doesn't ,storyline wise, revolve around Paul Heyman. His real talent is behind the scenes and Vince took that away from him months ago.

ECW would have potential if they could get some better talent. Bobby Lashley and CM Punk are being used fairly well. RVD could be used better. The rest of the talent they have either sucks (Balls Mahoney, Matt Striker, Sandman) or don't have much talent to begin with (Great Khali, Sabu). They need some better people.

Heyman leaving can't hurt ECW, because McMahon has control and has no respect to the brand or wrestling fans. Then again, that is the reason the WWE is dying its slow, horrible death.
