And as the guy above me mentioned,there isn't a chance in hell that Randy Orton is the best wrestler of this era. He's not even the best wrester in the feud with RKO and DX. Michaels,HHH,Angle,Styles,Daniels,Benoit, Londan,Kendrick,Finlay,Regal and 50 more guys on the WWE/TNA rosters and 500 guys on the indys are all better wrestlers than Orton.

late 90's i would say Austin as the character and Angle as the wrestler

Early 00' HHH as the character and Benoit as the wrestler(possibly Eddie)

it should be noted that the rock and jericho should be mentioned in some sense yes i know they were both good wrestlers and even better characters.
